Public Call for Election of Members of the Local Anti-Corruption Forum in Vrnjačka Banja

The Municipality of Vrnjačka Banja announced a public call for the election of members of the Local Anti-Corruption Forum, an independent body which will be in charge of monitoring the implementation of the Local Anti-Corruption Plan (LAP). The Municipality invites all interested individuals, as well as representatives of citizens’ associations and other professional organizations, to apply for membership in this body by August 5, 2019 at the latest, following the instructions from the text of the Public Call which can be seen at

The Municipal Assembly of Vrnjačka Banja, with the assistance of the USAID Government Accountability Initiative and Transparency Serbia, adopted the revised Local Anti-Corruption Plan on June 5, 2019. The LAP of Vrnjačka Banja municipality is fully aligned with the LAP Model published by the Anti-Corruption Agency; at the same time, this plan reflects the needs, specifics and capacities of the Vrnjačka Banja municipality to properly implement this document.

By adopting the LAP, Vrnjačka Banja expressed its full readiness and commitment to strengthening the mechanisms for preventing corruption and establishing good governance that should protect the interests and care of the needs of its citizens. In order for this document to have its effects, it is very important for citizens to be involved in monitoring of its implementation, which they can do just by engaging in the Local Anti-Corruption Forum.
