With over 150 participants, representatives of local governments, public administration, public prosecutors’ offices,, the judiciary, the civil sector, international community, media and whistleblowers, the “Whistleblower Protection at Central and Local Level” was organized jointly by the Serbian Ministry of Justice, USAID Government Accountability Project (GAI), the EU funded “Prevention and Fight against Corruption” Project and the Pištaljka Portal on September 9, 2019.
Guide for improved communication of cities and municipalities on social networks

The Government Accountability Initiative (GAI) and the agency Executive Group have published a Guide for the Use of Social Networks for Local Self-Governments, which aims to increase the transparency of the work of cities and municipalities, improve the communication of local administration with citizens, and enable public participation in decision-making process.

The Government Accountability Initiative (GAI) and the Bureau of Social Research (BIRODI), in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Agency, have published a frequently asked questions on the development and adoption of local anticorruption plans (LAPs).
The Local Anticorruption Plans: Frequently Asked Questions offers answers and clarifications to the gaps in interpretations identified in the process of development and implementation of Local Anticorruption Plans (LAPs). It also presents good solutions and practices identified in local governments that have completed this process.
Guide for Persons Authorized for Receiving and Investigating Whistle-Blowers Reports in Local Self-Government

USAID Government Accountability Initiative and web portal Pištaljka have published Guide for Persons Authorized for Receiving and Investigating Whistle-Blowers Reports in Local Self-Government. The guide contains necessary information and instructions on how to organize an efficient internal whistle-blowing system in municipalities, as well as how to proceed with reports that authorized persons receive from whistleblowers, taking into account their identity.
Second Public Call for Local Self-Governments for Expression of Interest to Participate in the USAID Government Accountability Initiative (GAI)

USAID Government Accountability Initiative (GAI) publishes Second Public call for local self-governments (LSGs) for expression of interest to participate in the Project. Based on this open call, GAI will select five to seven LSGs to sign Memoranda of Cooperation with USAID and to receive agreed technical assistance aimed to improve accountability, transparency, public participation and anticorruption.
Public Call for Election of Members of the Local Anti-Corruption Forum in Vrnjačka Banja

The Municipality of Vrnjačka Banja announced a public call for the election of members of the Local Anti-Corruption Forum, an independent body which will be in charge of monitoring the implementation of the Local Anti-Corruption Plan (LAP).
